The registration for 60-day annual Amarnath yatra, which would commence on June 28, 2018 will begin from March 1, a senior official of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) said on Wednesday.
He said the registration would take place through 440 branches of the Punjab National Bank, the Jammu and Kashmir Bank and the YES Bank across the country.
Earlier, Governor N N Vohra, who is also the Chairman of the Amarnath Shrine Board reviewed thearrangements being made for the yatra, which is scheduled to begin on June 28 and conclude on August 26.
As per rules person below the age of 13 years or above 75 years, pregnant women and medically unfit people are barred for taking pilgrimage in south Kashmir.
