Fishing | Angling Trout

        Kashmir has many snow & spring fed streams. The season for fishing runs from April to October. The larger rivers like Sindh, Lidder, Erin, Ferozpur, Aharbal, Doodh Ganga, Daksum, Noobug, Ahlan, Krishen Ganga & Hirpur etc. are covered with snow, which starts melting between the month of May to July. Among Spring fed streams best for trout fishing are Kokernag, Verinag, Sukhnag. There are over 61 beats open for anglers throughout the season. Each beat about 3 – 4 km long & one can easily have a day trip fishing in any of the areas (most of the beats are connected by motorable roads). However there are 2 lakes Vishansar & Gangbal for which you have to take a trek.
       All our streams are stocked with German Brown and Rainbow trout, introduced by British at the peak of the British Raj in India (early 19th century). There is no wrong time or place to use a fly rod, as long as anglers are abiding by current national and state rules and regulations. You can catch fish everywhere from the lakes to rivers or back country creeks.
Fly fishing gear is always evolving, fly rod one between 8-9 feet long. A rod designated for a 4 or 5 weight line, reel and line have always been a staple in fly fishing.

Itinerary, Ex-Srinagar - 05 Days|04 Nights 

Day 1 : Arrive Srinagar 
On arrival at Srinagar airport or bus station, our representative will meet you. With displaying your name card and transfer to your houseboat. Rest of the day is at your leisure. Stay overnight at Houseboat in Kashmir. 

Day 2 : Srinagar City Tour & Shikara Tour Dal lake 
This morning after breakfast visit world famous Mughal Gardens visiting the Nishant Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love), The Chashma Shahi etc. Return to houseboat for hot lunch. After Lunch visit Shankaracharya Temple and in the evening take a Shikara ride on Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty that God has graced this city with, which is often compared to Venice sunset. Overnight at Houseboat in Kashmir. 

Day 3 : Kashmir Trout Fishing 
This morning after breakfast drive to Pahalgam 2440 Meters (Valley of Kashmir) en route you will stop at Upper Lidder Valley. for trout fishing in upper Lidder valley. In the evening you will driver to Pahalgam. On arrival check into your Hotel and rest of the evening is at leisure. Stay overnight at Hotel in Pahalgam. 

Day 4 : Trout Fishing Kashmir 
This morning after breakfast drive to Srinagar. en route you will stop at Lower Lidder Valley. for trout fishing in Lower Lidder valley. In the evening you will driver to Srinagar. On arrival check into your houseboat, Rest of the evening is at your leisure. Stay overnight at Houseboat in Kashmir. 

Day 5 : Srinagar Airport for Onward Journey 
Today you will be transferred to Srinagar Airport to board your flight with memorable experience of Travel Inn® Tours & Travel.
